Relax Large 200g Chlorine Tablets - 5kg

£36.00

Chlorine is the most popular treatment for keeping swimming pool water chemistry balanced because it's highly effective and relatively low cost. Other disinfectants include bromine, ozone, and ultraviolet (UV) radiation.

Chlorine can be added to pool water in several ways, including liquids, tablets and granules. Liquids can simply be poured into the water. Tablets can be added to a chlorine dispenser, in the pool’s swimmer basket or to an automatic chlorinator. Granules can be added  directly into the pool water where they dissolve and are then distributed by the pool’s filtration system.

If the pool water is cold, stabilised granules will dissolve better in a bucket of warm water, stirred to dissolve and then added at the inlets and some into a skimmer to disinfect the filter bed. Be careful to avoid spilling or splashing yourself as you can risk spoiling clothes or your eyes, and your body.

Stabilised granules are made to last longer in sunlight, but can be acidic when added to water, so do watch alkalinity and calcium hardness levels and add to these to offset the acidity of the stabilised granules.
